Ooh, that sounds lovely! I had a wonderful goat's cheese salad last week and you've just reminded me to buy some goat's cheese (and I'm just on my way to Waitrose!). Yay. I know what *I'm* having for lunch. :)

I'd like to grow some herbs. I miss having fresh herbs in my cooking, and I have plenty of space to do so. Did you buy them and replant them, or did you take cuttings? How long have they taken you to grow? What's the quickest? How many questions can I ask before you run and hide...? :)

Strawberries sound good! My mother used to grow strawberries, until one year when they had died down my dad forgot and put the log pile on them...

I got mint and this herb for pizza as plants from sainsburies in their vegtable section and planted them, they usually die really quickly when I keep them in pots unless I keep them outside in the rain and then their happy.

The oinions and garlic I found with my veg had starting growing as they were a bit old so I planted them to see what would happen and they're really loving it. The onions have started getting these bubbles on the green leaves now so I'm quiet intreged what is going to happen next! The garlic is a pointy sharp green shoot coming out and quite long.

The rest is seeds where I have planted them in pots, trays and plastic punnets left over from packaging from fruit and yogurt pots and Gui chocolate cups. The seeds can take up to 2 weeks to start shooting and then they start evolving. Most of mine are starting to evolve but not quiet sure whats going to happen the mustard seads look like massive cress and came up within a week!

Those sound gorgeous (mouth watering right now).

I also love the smell of roasting vegetables dressed with vinegar.

I must say, it was scrumptious. A robust and tasty dinner.

I thought it would taste good with Wendsleydale and a cream cheese too!
