A lot of people are under the impression that Maui is this magical place where palm trees and rainbows abound.  If that's what it were actually like, I would not be here, and if you grew up thinking that weathering a hurricane was a good way to spend your vacation, you would not be here either.  I live in Kihei, which is on the south-western coast ( Read more... )

I love your pictures, Iris! And that truck, non-photogenic as it may be, still looks awesome, and I hope you get a worthy shot of it at some point. And I love the way the sky looks there with the deserty grassy look.

Even if it's the lamest movie ever, I will have to watch it anyway, just to see your elbow, lol.

Seriously, the scene I was in sounded so stupid. It's like, Jennifer Anniston and Nicole Kidman engage in a spontaneous, restaurant-sponsored hula dance off. First of all, no such thing exists. The Maui this movie presents to the world is not a Maui that exists or ever existed on this earth. Second of all, seriously? A hula dance off? What camp, hackneyed, utter crap will they come up with next? Well, we'll have to watch it to find out, and I suspect they've outdone themselves. But then again, maybe it will all come together on film.

They really shoul have run this one by me thoough. It did not receive my seal of approval.
