Angel glanced up at the sound of the TARDIS as Lorne gave a resigned sigh, waiting for whatever part of his beloved bar the Time Lord would park on this time.
The TARDIS appeared... on a table, which of course collapsed under the weight.
Lorne threw his hands up in the air. "It's not like it's a huge place to park in, it's not that hard!", he moaned, "Can't land on the nice big stage, can he, oh no"
Doctor poked his head out, saw where they were landed, then disappeared from view. A few moments later, Connor slouched out, wearing clothes that were a bit too big, and colourful, for his usual taste. The TARDIS began to disappear.
"Hey.....", Angel frowned as the TARDIS started to vanish, "Um....thank you". He turned to look at his son, before pulling him into a tight hug, if he wanted it or not.
Spike watched from the balcony above the dancefloor, he stood in the shadows lighting up quietly as he watched the scene unfold.
Connor stiffened like a rail, but raised a hand to pat his father on the back.
"I'm glad you're okay", he whispered softly to him, before letting him go.
"Welcome home, Boogalah", Lorne offered him a smile.
Spike frowned sinking down sitting on the floor as he smoed watching them through the railings.
Connor gave them a false smile, then sniffed slightly before looking up.
Angel followed his gaze, before sighing softly, looking down. "You alright?"
"Hm?" he looked at Angel. "Yeah, I'm totally fine."
Spike frowned before disappearing from the balcony.
"CONNOR!" Harmony came out of nowhere and gave him a tight hug and a kiss. She frowned when she got the same stiff reaction Angel had.
"AB-neg and Otter," she stated before rushing off to the kitchen.
Angel watched her rush off, then gave Connor a small smile, his eyes scanning for his husband. "You need anything other than blood?"
Smoke floated through the air from the balcony from his crushed cigarette
Connor shook his head, glancing over at a small movement near the door. Illyria gave him a nod, he returned it, and watched her leave. "Is Xander still in Romania?"
"He's on his way home, too", Angel mumured, "He stayed there to...try and deal with it, I guess"
Connor nodded. "Right."
"Yeah", Angel mumured quietly, frowning at the smoke.
Connor watched him a moment. "What happened."
"We had a fight", mumured Angel quietly, "A big one"
"Oh. You need to make up. It's important."
"We will", Angel offered him a weak smile.
Connor nodded, looking a bit older than he had when he'd left. Growing up on a hell world was one thing, what he'd done, and what had been done to him since he'd left for Kamino, weighed heavy, and hardened him, and taught him.
Angel watched his son worriedly. "You look tired"
"A little. I should drink whatever Harmony's concocting up for me before I go to bed though - timelord blood tastes funny."
Angel blinked. "Yeah, that's something I never thought I'd hear"
"Hum?"
"Time Lord blood", said Angel, "You drank from him?"
"I'm not a real vampire, Dad. Even dead, I was dying. I couldn't move for a while, stasis and stuff - so yes. I drank from him. He offered," Connor said evenly.
"It's alright, Connor, I'm not passing judgement", said Angel softly, "I'm just...surprised. Never fed off an alien before....that I know of"
"Taste funny," Connor mumbled, seeing Harmony bound down into Caritas, and accepting the warm mug she gave him. "Thanks."
Harmony kissed his cheek and ruffled his hair. "You'll be okay," she told him before going back to messing with the AI office stuff.
Angel feared for the state of his office. She's been given free reign of it with Oz for a week. Who knew what was happening in there. "I can imagine"
"Can I go to my room?"
"Yeah", Angel gave him a smile, "Sure thing. Yell if you need anything"
"I won't need anything," Connor said, heading upstairs.
Angel sighed, following him up. "Alright, so long as you're sure"
"Yeah, 'm fine."
"Okay", Angel paused outside his door, "Get some sleep". He paused. "...I love you, Son"
Connor paused, then looked back. "Love you too, Dad."
Angel smiled, still surprised to hear him say it. "There's plenty of blood in the fridge if you need it....sleep well"
Connor just nodded and shuffled to his bed.
