Maybe check some local provider message boards for care-swaps? If you guys could hang with another little one for a couple days a week, you could trade off and have their people take your baby the other days and you both get the childcare you need without a lot of expense. Also maybe check into schools with childcare development courses, since they often have daycares built into the curriculum and offer grants for care.

James would have to be the one ok with that. He would be the one watching the extra one. Not sure he would dig it, but its worth a try.

It's a definite money saver, and even just in the short term until you guys could figure something else out, it might help. You might even find that the days they need care would be on days when you or both of you are at home, so it wouldn't be just one of you saddled with an extra baby.

Could your mom come help at all? What time would you need someone? Could you adjust your hours? What if matt watched her as payment for what he owes you? Or maybe sean since she's back ad not workin? Just tryin tp throw some ideas to ya. Love you so much.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm the sean thing might be cool.

My mom is a grade school teacher, so no help from her in the mornings.

The most we need anyone is on Tues and Weds from 3 hours to at most 8 hours.

I cant adjust my hours and James cant do his, we need the hours for money.

Really not ok with Matt watching my little girl.

But the Sean idea is something.

I also found out since we only need her watched 2 days a week, we may be able to afford it.

Well ya, maybe hit her up, and I understand about matt, just trying to think of things. I know its hard and I'm sorry. I am free by 4 and you wouldn't have to pay me, but I don't know if that works. Karla is a nanny too, you could see if she would be free? Hope something works out love.

So you make just slightly over the cap of Child Care Assistance? You have the right to appeal it. You can show them that you are unable to afford the child care, despite the fact that your income is over their arbitrary cut-off. You have the legal right to appeal this, and you should!!!
