I'm in Texas now and have not hear a single "ya'll" and it's making me sad. But I'm in Austin, and from what I can gather this isn't really Texas at all.
But in my head folk and poke do not sound even remotely the same. And, of course, since English isn't my first language you may disregard everything I've just said.
