I remember you launched that incendiary missile against them in that terrible computer game.
I went to Revelstoke B.C. with my parents and Leanne. We drove there and back after a few nights stay. The way back was done in 17.5 hours with stops for only lunch and supper. That way you get a sense of the infernal distances of this country. Seeing the size of Equatorial Guinea make me sick. Lets teach them a lesson they won't soon forget!
Fuck them and their territorial impotence! Fuck their increasingly encouraging human development index up its stupid ass! We've been patient with their meagre cocoa and oil exports and competent Olympic swimming team for far too long.
(Our implacable march towards neo-colonialism aside, what made Revelstoke the target? Family gathering?)
I got the sense of our massive scope for the first time driving out to Edmonton, Jasper, Banff and Calgary on a bus. Seeing the Rockies looming from such a distance, mere shades in the clouds even after twelve hours of driving, and knowing that beyond them there was still more Canada... It was a pretty humbling experience, especially considering I'd literally never seen anything that big before. Intellectually, I knew that mountains were huge, but it really is strange the syrupy sense of dread and awe that mankind can still generate when faced with the majesty of his own insignificance and the tactile, imposing fact of the ages.
My dad had a karate thing out there and decided to take Leanne and I for a holiday. My feeling of insignificance was lifted slightly when we drove across a newly completed bridge that basically spanned two mountain peaks.
Hey, turns out we have one more pass to a pre-screening of Hellboy, want to go? It plays at 7pm tonight.
We thought we won 2 tickets but we actually won two tickets for two. So far Alicia, Brent, and myself are going. Ryan was going to go but then had to pull out due to work.
Couldn't get ahold of Mike, he did mention plans for today yesterday. Texted Trevor, says he'll come. Trying to iron out the plans as we speak. I'll meet you outside your work, 4:30pm.
I would like to go, but it conflicts with a hobby night I planned with a guy from the game group. He's been busy at MTS with the spectrum auction and hasn't done much painting in a while. I hope it's awesome and that it involves monsters of some sort.
