I just conducted another background interview with WPS today and the investigation should be completed very soon. Hopefully my vote for Katz will result in me getting one of those 58 new positions he promised. Judy said she'd add more officers too, but she's also have me walking a beat in mid-January.

Registration starts tomorrow if anyone else is interested. Tickets are now bought online with paypal and registration codes are emailed out after. I think I'm going to get a room at the University this year (There are some early games I want to play).

Got a letter from WPS today saying they've suspended the recruit class until early 2011. Apparently less people retired than what they actually thought. Where have I heard that before ( Read more... )

I passed the interview for Winnipeg Police Service and I'm moving on to the background check sometime over the next 9 weeks. The selection panel follows the background. The bad part is that they'll probably take less than 30 applicants for the recruit class. Yikes!

Here's a fun game for you. Go to the Canadian Tire near McPhillip's and Lelia with google street view. Have a walk around to the loading zone at the back and see if you can find the two painters sitting on the back of dark grey truck. I'll give you a hint: They're wearing orange vests.
