Can't believe how fast time passes. I only have 2 weeks left in lab and so much to organize still. Eek!

Tyler and I took a spontaneous trip to Vegas during which we lost money, went to a show, drank and ate way more than we should have, walked a lot, and slept in. It was great bonding time that we really needed. It made me extra-excited for Paris

Sooo...in the less-than-a-month I have left, I have a lot to do. My paper was rejected from Diabetes and I have to resubmit after brushing it up a bit. I need to finish up some work...but MOST daunting is the task of organizing and cleaning up EVERYTHING I have accumulated my 6 years or so in the lab. Will miss Tyler this weekend when he's gone camping and I have to work. =(

The visit home with Tyler was fun. The hotel my parents referred us to was awesome! Had everything. Got to see my brother, grandma, parents...we got brunch and went wine tasting on bikes and had a nice birthday dinner for my dad. I have never been so completely, perfectly understood, accepted, and loved before. Please let this be it...

I went to my favorite coffee place today and saw my horoscope was:

"LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You'll accept your loved one as he is and in the process realize he's not exactly who you thought he was, or who you wanted him to be. And yet, it's going to work out. All is perfect."

Funny. It works. I know it's a general thing to say, but it really does.

We had a close call today, people. *sigh*

It's as if I've forgotten how to read. I read the words but the ideas are completely lost. Boo.
