Great walk, looping around Aspen Hill, through Matthew Henson and Rock Creek parks. We kept a pace of more than 3 mph, which is terrific. The One Day Hike requires an overall pace of at least 2.25 mph, so if we factor in the breaks we'll need to take doing the long haul, I think we're on track ( Read more... ) -

What's for dinner tonight?
I'm trying to come up with a no to low meat dinner idea (since I'm going to make a very meaty spaghetti sauce tomorrow), and my best idea so far, given what I have on hand, is to braise butternut squash with cumin and oregano, then mash it up with black beans and use that as the filling for enchiladas. A nice walk
I went out with my friend, Emily, last night for a flashlight walk/hike near Great Falls. It was a little under four and a half miles, which was more than I've done any time recently, but was still very easy and fun. We fast forwarded (with captions on) through most of last night's Top Chef Finale. We were THAT interested in who won. (yawn) But it was nice to see Michael Voltaggio and it reminded us that we want to go back to Bryan's restaurant sometime soon. Hopefully next season will be better ( Read more... ) -

Shows tossed off our list include a few that are probably not going to have anything new coming out (including Survivors from BBCA), but also Burn Notice and Lie to Me.
