hey there, i just stumbled across your journal. i'm american too and i live in exeter, what a world. good cheap eats if you haven't tried it yet is beans on toast with cheese.beans and cheese with a baked potato is good too. try jaffa cakes if you haven't yet. any food/ cooking question i can help you out. if you get a phone set up a onetell account, 3p to call the states. word is there are phone cards out there too with 3p rates.
