meeting a nobel laureate...
last night i went to a big event at bucknell. derek walcott, a nobel prize winning poet, was coming to give a reading and accept an award. the president and a professor gave an introduction and then walcott walked toward a big easy chair and opened his book of poems. suddenly, he fidgeted around and was looking in his pockets ( Read more... ) -
a nasty experience
this week has been crazy. i've taken two tests so far, and have one more left (tomorrow night). before my test on monday night, this one guy sits right next to me (even though there were several empty seats) and pulls out a sandwich in a greasy paper bag. he unwrapped it, and it was a cafeteria cheesesteak with dull gray meat and congealed ( Read more... ) -

so, twenty-first birthday...pretty good. i drank a little, of course.
other than that, not much happened over the summer. i am now in my new room in the townhouses in tcnj. things look pretty good here so far.
