I keep one copy of my registration in the car, one at home (just in case). As for emissions report, I don't think you need to keep it with the car....

One is basically a "backup copy" I keep one in the car and one in my purse. You don't need your emissions report in the car unless they told you to when you registered it. In colorado they won't license a car unless it passes emissions, so I don't think any cops would ask for it or anything, and that information should be included in the CCIC or NCIC if they happen to run your license plate. Hope this helps a bit!

That's not completely true. You only have to get an emissions test if you live in/around the Front Range. I live in Northeast Colorado and we don't have to do anything like that at all.

The other copy is just for your records and whatnot.

I don't know about the emissions thing. We don't have to do that around here actually. I think that's just a Front Range thing.
