The show takes itself SO seriously, and manages to be super innocent because of it. I have such tender feelings for The X-Files after this rewatch, latter seasons be damned

Hee! I smiled when I saw your name. I haven't time just right now to read fic, but I shall come back to it!

Small factoid about the x files and I: I actually stopped watching very early on, when the guy in the circus ate the fish (or something? Anyway being a delicate flower, I was all *shudders* and never really went back.)

BUT I tend to think of myself a fan and a bit invested, mostly, I came to realise, because I consumed a HUGE amount of MSR fanfic (and one M/K, I think) whie I wasn't watching. I would haunt...oooh, I can't remember the archive now, but I kept checking back, checking back, much in the way I trawl/ed, livejournal, delicious and now AOOO for Supernatural and other stuff.

Love me some fic :)

Btw, I didn't realise you were into DW (followed the link to wordpress and that clued me in). I sally forth to a DW con in the UK tomorrow/today and all being well Mr Tennant will be there (crosses fingers, toes, eyes etc.) Luckily I live in the UK :)

The guy at the circus totally ate a fish, so I get where you're coming from. Scully also pretended to eat a cricket in that episode, and apparently Gillian ACTUALLY ate a cricket. So there's that too.

I am so jealous you get to swoon at Tennant! Let me know how it is, and -- pictures?

And it's good to see you too. I did a Farscape rewatch earlier this year and it made me nostalgic for the glory days of that fandom too. We had some good times, no?

Runs into hug you. Runs out to read the story. How is it that I didn't even know you in the heyday of your X-Files reign. I mean, I didn't know anyone, I just read in a corner without any idea of what to do beyond read, but it's so hard to imagine a time when I didn't know you!!

I think that the dream basically involved me running into you in the Bay Area--as always happens, because it's a small world after all---and then you invited me to your place and we had dinner and watched TV, and then your mother showed up and started washing my hair as I watched whatever it was we were watching, and I very clearly remember thinking, "Okay, I acknowledge that I could probably use some extra food, but I'm sure that I bathe enough," and then I woke up.

ANYWAY, consolidating replies here: we should clearly hang out at some point. Possibly during Sound of Music singalong time. :D
