I feel like our rugby team (and I say "our" because I still imagine you as being on it) has become increasingly heterosexual in the last semester or two. I remember when we joined and people were like, "So, there's about two straight girls on there, right? Wait . . . are you straight?"
Rugby's being invaded by heteronorms. Said the girl with a boyfriend. *shame* But, in my defense, a boyfriend that is unusually feminine and pretty.
I mean, there's nothing wrong with it. It just really confuses me that of the twelve or so people at practices so far, the two I pegged as "must be queer" seem to be not queer at all, and the rest are very straight, and I miss that about Oberlin's team. Actually, I miss that about Oberlin generally. Where are the super-gay people in the real world?
things to say to Liz's LJ: -I also noticed the lack of gay at the one practice I went to. (p.s. I might be coming back if sociology rugby girl doesn't get back to me about her team) -That is a really weird conversation.
