There's a lot of stuff that isn't listed here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75459

For example. There are at least three variations of your keyboard they don't explain to you.
[Alt]+[s] gives you an ß
[Alt]+[Shift]+[p] gives you ∏

And there are built in dead keys for foreign vowel accents.
[Alt]+[u] then [Alt]+[a] gives you ä

Its just one of those things that makes too much sense for a computer, so a lot of people don't even remember to use it.

yeah i knew those for data entry reasons, i know all the alt keys mostly by heart, but that zoom trick is kick ass

i'm so freaking clueless when it comes to macs. my bf has one and i can't even find an executable file.

now if i do that command his computers not going to blow up, is it?

"executable files" are in the Applications folder. They don't have extensions or other crap like that cluttered around them. It's just an icon, usually with a name explaining what it does. Like... "iPhoto" or "iTunes" or "Mail"

it does seem easy enough. i just have to get out of the complicated mindset. thanks for the quick tips though... i think i'm just making it more difficult than it is.

I shit i forgot abut that... and to hell if i knew the keyboard shortcut for it before. I am so doing single pixel 300dpi graphics projects with this. YEAH DETAIL....
This should prove quite useful for subliminal messages...
