calculating sabbat dates

I have a few questions which are probably the most stupidest and obvious questions of ever, but bear with me please!

When it comes to these things that none of us can really know definatively--close enough is good enough. None of the gods that are specifically honored on these dates are known for being tantrum throwers. They like our attention and like to be involved with us. Now of course there are many darker gods who are more upsetable, but they don't tend to get their own holidays.

Yup. But it does make life simpler if one has a set of rules to work from...then one can adjust as needed.

A friend of mine was fond of saying:
"Once in the month, and better it be on Saturday when people are off work, ye shall assemble in a living room with the furniture pushed back."

Love it!

My coven has a lively state park we can do ritual in except it closes supposedly at dusk.

We love doing rituals there but full moons have to be inside or in a backyard
