On minor sadness.
I'm trying to follow an actual gluten-free diet for a bit, to both see if I can establish some sort of baseline of my gluten sensitivity and settle down my system if, in fact, I'm gluten-sensitive.

Today was spent working from home - a fruitless exercise in fighting with SalesForce, trying to convince it to just stop being a prat and work like CSS. Even the CSS in SalesForce doesn't work like CSS, let a lone the other programming behind the CSS. On public transportation.
The bad news is that the Warminster train isn't running, due to downed power lines. For a change.
The good news is that I found early enough to catch the 22 bus to Glenside and train into the city from there. The downside to this upside is that the 22 only runs hourly, so we're 5 minutes in to a 20 minute wait.

Today's winner of the Fine Craftsmanship in Truck Modification award - just picture it:
A late-80's F150 short cab, all badging removed, painted flat white.
24" lifters.
A tubular roll cage at the back of the bed, constructed of 4" pipe stock, also painted flat white.

Update: "On posting", a week later
The 30" I spoke about here worked pretty well. Well enough to win me my third Baronial Championship. :)
I even fought case, and liked it. Weird. I'm still not unhappy that I no longer have a 40".
Anywho, while I wasn't sure I wanted to win, I was adamant that I bring my "A" game all day, every bout. Regardless of how the results fell out, I'd have ( Read more... )
