so i finished harry potter and the half blood prince about an hour ago. i couldnt keep from crying through the last three chapters. this last one isnt nearly as cheerful as the last five and i am really afraid of what is gonna go down in the seventh now that...well, i'm not gonna spoil it

i wondered about that as well. i even checked on the spine of the book to make sure it still says 'year 6' and it does so.....i dunno.

I believe he'll go to school. JK wouldn't have let such a huge chunk of information such as Harry's never finishing his last year at Hogwarts go so easily...she would have waited until the next book comes out in a couple years and shocked the pants off of us all!
