My first day off work in months and what did I do? That's right, I cooked. I baked up the rest of the pita bread dough and tried a variation on the garlic paste (toum) recipe and found it was actually way too strong. Yes, I am still alive.

Home still sucks a lot. Work has been kind of tense. Lately my friends find nothing I do to be acceptable. So the only time I'm content lately is hanging out with Charlie. Too bad I only do that once or twice a week.

Friday was the wedding of Chris and Minta. I left work early and managed to do mine and Tyree's hair and make it to the church on time. I'm so glad Tyree drove and I chose hairstyles for both of us that stood up to the wind. Minta looked great and Chris didn't even seem nervous. Tonight I'm going over Charlie's and he's making dinner. I believe he said lamb was on the menu. Score! He's going to all that trouble for me, so I bought him a small tin of spiced plumb tea leaves from the coffeehouse. Hope he likes it.

I don't want to give too many details yet because I want to tell my friends in person, but the date went well. We met up at a coffeehouse. I couldn't believe how quite I was. It's all good, though.
