God just revealed to me, that sometimes it's necessary for you to be discouraged so that you can be an encouragement to others. You see, when God allows burdens to fall upon you, you search His word until you can give it back to Him. There's a saying that I always loved that states it's great to have an end to journey towards, but it's the journey that matters in the end. God grants us promises to encourage us in the midst of what ever we are going through. A promise is a divine covenant, a truth of something that is still to come. The reason why God turns His back on our sins and forgets them when we pray for forgiveness is because they hurt Him. When we sin, we are re-crucifying Christ. Each time we sin we put our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ back up on that cross, and each time it happens God has to stand by and watch us hurt ourselves.
