Thanks, it was a labor of love : )
The pics make it look "wood intense" but in fact the wood is balanced nicely (I think) by brickwork or drywall.
Lots of different woods too, fiddle back redwood for the counter tops, Oak flooring, knotty pine walls, redwood wainscoting, the list goes on.
Strange to see the place on line, brings back memories...

It looks really nice. I like the lighter colored wood - it would be a great place to live!

My grandparents' 19th c. farmhouse had this amazing birdseye maple paneling in two rooms (parlor, living/dining and also kitchen). As soon as the new owner moved in - he tore it all out. :( It was shocking.

How did the film production end up at your parents house? Did they know you guys or send out a call on the internet for a house with a certain look?

"How did the film production end up at your parents house?"

The producer/director was a friend of my stepbrothers wife and had been to our place a few times.

The filming took about a week in LaHonda, they also shot in Pescadero, Half Moon Bay, SF and Oakland.
