Summary: She runs away from the storms of what once she called home. Good girl gone bad.
Previous Chapter
The weekend was fast approaching.
Two things were on her mind.
The better part was him asking her out.
People in school were talking about them, if they were a couple or something already, but she would just end up laughing about it. What were they anyway?
On the other hand, the later part of that weekend would mean Daddy coming home. Wasn’t she supposed to be happy about this? She chose to dwell on the brighter side of it. She could deal with all the Daddy-drama when she comes home but as of now, she was all out to enjoy.

He asked me what time do I usually wake up during the weekends.
I actually tend to oversleep after a movie-marathon on Fridays but I could skip all that for this.
I told him 8.
At 6 I was more than awake already and was scrambling eggs in the kitchen.
No, not for my breakfast. It was for our lunch. I made sure his bento gets more of whatever I was cooking since this trip was suggesting a lot of moving around. I wonder what he was up to.
Good thing I was not sickly. My grades in P.E. were always above average.
I can survive this.
By 9 we were already on a bus to the south. He definitely knows I appreciate rural over urban, but anywhere was fine with me, as long as he tagged along.
“We’ll be there in an hour. This might be inconvenient for you.”
“I’m fine. I’ll just have to wait until we get there right?” I felt him jerk when my head landed on his left shoulder.
I just knew my day would go about just fine.

We started by trekking around the foot of a mountain and slowly we began to climb higher and deeper into the woods which later led to streams that were part of this river that we were about to meet. I later saw this tunnel cave just a little farther from where we were standing and looked back at him, who was all the time behind me, supporting me. He nodded when I was giving him an excited look.
The tunnel was a beauty itself. Roots of different plants decorated the walls of the cave and the water was colder this time. There were times when I found it hard to push myself up to those rocks. He would immediately take over and pull me up to him. I knew it was almost the end of the tunnel because I could see the sun’s rays in front of us, and I was left breathless when we reached the end.
The scenery around me was refreshing to the eye. And how could it get any better than when I was looking at him staring into the vast blue sky?
Now everything looked beautiful, amazing and perfect.

She was wondering if they were to have lunch on top of the mountain. It was also romantic but she couldn’t deny that she was also tired and to climb down to get their packed lunch was not a good idea at this time. But like all those times when she had something in mind and couldn’t say it and when he would catch that off her, he knew what it was all about.
“You’re not to worry okay. There’s a better and faster way to get down.”
She was supposed to worry about the fast part but she brushed off those doubts away when he said “You just have to hold on to me as tight as you can.”
It was an 800-meter zip-line all the way down to the base and only the harness was keeping them from falling off, nothing else. She was screaming her lungs out throughout the ride. All she could think of was about falling off anytime but when his grip just tightened around her waist she thought she could somehow make it through.
“You’re supposed to enjoy the scenery and let the adrenaline rush go wild!” He screamed behind her.
At that she decided not to close her eyes and just shut up for seconds to take a look at what was around, above and below her. And when they reached the ground she could not just let go of him yet. Her knees were shaking and her palms were sweating.
The only sane thing she could say at the moment was “That was crazy.”

Lunch was cute.
He was all over the bento she prepared and she was quite surprised that he came up with a box of sweets for desert. He was messily munching into the friend prawns, the next thing he knew she was wiping some bread crumbs off the corner of his mouth. He was taken aback but when she smiled back he didn’t bother anymore.

Time check. Fifteen past four and her Daddy will arrive at 6.
It meant for him to bring her back already.
She noticed him staring at his watch.
“You’re not looking at that thing for the next minutes. Don’t be such a killjoy.” She grabbed his hand and took off the device only to be stopped halfway when he decides to gently hold her hand.
Electricity shot through her veins and she jerked awkwardly.
He didn’t let go, however.
He waited. But he didn't have to wait that long. because he felt her slowly entwine their fingers together.
He could not stop that smile to escape from his lips.
"Can we just stay like this a little more longer?" When she said that she knew it didn't mean anything less.
She had to admit that she was in love.
