Hello?

Are you getting this?

Who’s this?

Your future self.

Yes, really. Don’t block me.

Okay, prove it. I’m thinking of a password…

You thought “correct horse battery staple” at first, but dismissed it as too obvious. You settled on the eighth Mersenne prime, 2147483647.

I hadn’t even looked it up yet!

This was perfect. I always wonder exactly what happens to the person from the old timeline...I never saw anything quite like this, exploring their feelings all the way.

[Insert Disease Here], basically. She was at the end of her life, and she happened to have a way to indulge herself.

Stop deflecting.
Heh-heh. Right on the mark.

Let’s do this whole regret thing together.
:)

I liked how quickly the not-future Katarina became someone else as a result of that one decision. Successful love, even if it isn't forever-love, can change your whole outlook on life.

It's ironic that future-Katarina was too focused on one thing and missed the rest of her life, and not-future-Katarina went too far in the other direction-- no focus at all!

Yeah. Like I said above, how quickly the lives diverged wasn't intentional - but I worked with it when I realised I had to do it that way. In my head, Miko was great for her until they got too comfortable with each other, so :p

Of the two, I think I'd rather have original Kat's life.

This was really great, and the style was just perfect for what you were doing. Loved it!

I love this -- both the concept, and the sense of inevitability.

I really want to do more with the concept, of older Kat's experience, of having a screen in front of you that you can just ... poke at the entirety of someone else's life with. So much would seem a crazy mix of inevitable and completely open to you, there...
