Last friday I went to an Auction Benefit Event for a village in Mali, Africa run by Connor Barry's girlfriend, Lauren. I felt oh so classy....I even got a paddle with a number (I was number 6!) and we got to sit down at nice round tables surrounded by twinkly lights (some that i personally had haphazardly untangled

haha i didn't know what a lamprey was either, i thought it was like a stingray but i was wrong, but try image googling it....

Ahhh Church. It's at this kid's house in the living room and it's not religious at all but it's about good vibes and good things...
and it's a potluck/brunch.
Basically it's like a really chill laidback party once a month sunday morning with a lot of quirky kids our age, climaxing in a "sermon". Every month they have a different theme - the first one i went to was "Haiku" themed, and we were all were encouraged to get up and read a haiku...
then there was a funk themed one, and then bicycle themed, and last one was hip hop.
The sermon involves a lot of live music and dance parties too. that's a big theme.
haha...I'm not religious, but I like to have a little mini-random-community and I like happy celebrating life events, so it works for me! :)
