Beating up old men...

...Was never so much fun. Really, you'd think I hadn't been studying Japanese for three years when you see the cud-chewing blank looks some people make when you give orders in Japanese. What works? Pushin' em. Yeaaah. *Oku kara osuwari kudasaimase~~~~~~!!!* (please sit from the end ( Read more... )

It sounds like you've indeed been through he rough times although you should pray that god smiles down on you and lets the equipment work during Golden Week, or no amount on entertainment will protect you from an onslaught of furious Japanese and their pampered children.

Amen to that. There's been no shortage of smaller bugs, but we've actually developed a new system of entertainment in the lines in which one of our guides sneaks into the queue and asks another guide the burning, and often obnoxious questions we get from Japanese guests all the time! Most people laugh at how stupid they sound, but you can see a few guests blush when they realize they are being called out before they even complain. Such questions include "How long's the wait?" (which we answer almost every minute, on the minute anyway), What's inside?" (one old guy actually shouted "Americans!"), and "so your pavilion takes 45 min? What do I do if I have to be somewhere in 15?" (DUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRR.)

That's "being worked on" it's better then saying technical difficulties in Japanese... and a lot easier <3

I think the live action recount that you gave me was better, as it was live, but I laughed hysterically hearing it again <3

No amount of expert storytelling could beat seeing me dancing around in that theatre in a calmly frantic way, I'm sure!

If all events went according to plan--you wouldn't have much to write about, eh? Is a segway like that seat with wheels you and John used to ride on the driveway by leaning? AND How did you work the finger-dance in? That's Entertainment!!!!!

One more--what is the HUGE GOLDEN WEEK?
Always curious--love you, mu

What? What is this contraption you speak of?? The segways are those kooky two-wheeled machines with computers and gyroscopes in the platform to automatically balance you. I'm not quite sure why they didn't just put a third wheel on instead, but the Japanese sure love it!

Golden week is a group of holidays all clustered together, kinda like a spring break, except that ALL of Japan essentially goes on vacation at once.

Hehe. Yea, I took my phone to see Kung Fu Hustle, and I KNOW I had it in the movie theatre. Somewhere between the theatre and me going to bed that night my beloved phone is no longer on my person. So Shelly offered to clean my room for me in search of my phone. So the lesson that I'm learning from this is obviously: lose your phone and have someone clean your room. Works for me! :) Sorry I haven't found it. Hope you're havin a blast and enjoying yourself. *Cheesy boyfriend mush coming up - Be warned!* Just remember that I love you dearly and miss you every hour. You come home to me. With that, I'm off to cram for my finals! YES!

Love you baby,
Blake

Is it time for finals there??? Weird .... I have one more paper and test due, but they're not supposed to be in until June I think. (which means I'm getting a big bunch of incompletes right now) On the bright side, I am getting 16 credit hours now, yea! Which is nice since I'll probably be in school an extra year! Hehe, I heard that movie was pretty good, I've been trying to see that and sin city here as well. I need to figure out how to find more people who want to clean my room ...?

Oi, roomie! CLEAN MY ROOM! >_< !!
