[Eagle admitted after rereading the entire post this time and not just the bit he was interested in. ]
It is a pity the entire book could not be found… Though it is interesting to learn that Umi continues to engage in dangerous activities even after warning me not to.
It may be a wise choice to have published the document. I believe I have been here for a long time... but the possibility of those who have been here longer, and who may shed more light on this, exists.
[Is filing away the fact that this new speaker has a slightly quaint accent--but still presumes he's talking to another Englishman, not a giant Chinese dragon.]
I believe there was a Warden once, before my time. But I suppose there is no reason to assume the City came into being recently. It rather sounds as if the City ended up underwater at some point.

Whatever it is...it's not good with the Mayor and the rising and a giant spider.
...maybe the Mayor was the giant spider?

It's an old document. It tells us more about the past of the City than the present, so I don't think there's any need to worry.
