hi there. i'm friends with clam, and i stumbled across your journal through her friendslist. your name caught my eye. and i have to say, you write with such a gripping passion. it's inspirational. would it be okay if i added you?
hah, thanks and of course clam actually replied to some pictures I posted last night and linked me to some you had taken and said I should be friends with you hehe... it's fate! anyways, I'm erin nice to meet you :)
aww, clam is such a sweetheart. the nicest person i've never met. but wow, that is quite coincidental. because i don't usually make it a habit of looking through random journals, really. heh, so yeah, let's play the fate card.
I've just been skimming your recent entries because I like what you write/comment in queer_rage and wanted to see what else you wrote about -- some interesting stuff, it turns out
( ... )
hey! that's an interesting point about gender neutral bathrooms that has crossed my mind a few times as well... for some reason because Warren Wilson is such a small campus I feel like it could work pretty well though. I'm actually thinking of starting a "GenderPAC" chapter at Wilson and they know all about this stuff, I'm sure they'll help out with everything.. I should get in touch with your friend too, that's really great. (lj always reminds me of what a small world it is)
and yeah, Lword stuff still bothers me. I have yet to actually write someone about that. I should do that this summer. I just started a queer feminist blog with a friend of mine, maybe it will give me incentive or remind me to write some letters to people who can actually do shit.
and add away, I'll add back :) nice to meet you--I'm erin by the way.
Aw, yeah GenderPAC is really good. We had a chapter for a while, but if fizzled out when the leaders graduated. I've already got so much to do with the campus queer union that I don't have time to really re-vamp it, but I do some gender activism on my own.
