katiera reminded me of something I saw yesterday: Two mallard ducks and their lady-friend wandering around campus. Do ducks fly south for the winter? If so, these three are late!! What a strange place to see them, too. They must have wandered up from the river valley

i hate the automatic assumption among so many people that online relationships are somehow less valid, less fulfilling, or less "real" than analog ones. i met my first love over the internet. some of the most understanding, most supportive, most real friends i've ever had i've met online.
