Hairspray

I'm getting ready to paint my bathroom and baseboards and want to clean the door and door facing but have no idea of how to remove the hairspray buildup that's on the door facing.  I tried rubbing alcohol (which works wonders for vanities) but it removed the paint and made a mess.  Does anyone have a solution for me?  I've heard using a mixture of ( Read more... )

I've found that this works for me: a washcloth with warm soapy water (Shampoo would obviously work - the clarifying(er), the better. Wring out the washcloth, sprinkle a little baking soda where you want to work (or salt - really you just need a natural abrasive), and lightly scrub.

If that doesn't work, there's always GooGone or OOPS! that you can get at a hardware store.
