Okay, For the love of your own self respect, people Please give it a rest with all the twitter idiocy that seems to be inescapable these days.

I just axed two people off my friends list for moronic reposts of some idiotic comment limited to 140 characters, and thinking themselves brilliant for going to the trouble of putting such a vapid set of ( Read more... )

I've never actually experienced Twitter first hand. I've seen articles about it and must admit, the concept is interesting to me. It reminds me of that quote "if I'd had more time, I would have written a shorter letter". My beloved philosophy professor always started each semester reminding us of this, in an attempt to teach us to choose our words carefully. As ironic as it is, there's a lot to be said for brevity.

Less Is more, sometimes, I fully agree, but I gues my point is that in any other medium you are not limited to be brief but you have the option to do so when desired. If people want to send me one line emials, Fine, Great! But what if something disastrous occurs more info is needed? It seems beyond ridiculous to me, to have to restart a message over and over because you exceeded it's all too short capacity, so why not just use a medium without the restrictive limitations?

I think it depends on how it is used. Every game should have a game plan, and mine is as follows:

I am using it to connect with knitters, creatives, and spiritual people...stuff that feeds my soul and spirit. Usually the people I read provide links to the informative bulkier stuff...which I do look up.

As for my own posts, I feel that my current emotional state is better addressed with a haiku of sorts. (Basically, the less said, the better.) I may return to making meatier posts when my life breaks away from its limbo-like prison. I just don't have a clue when that will be. In the meantime, I will continue to work on feeding my essence using a variety of resources.

Anyway, my personal game plan doesn't include following self-centered ego maniacs, nor do I have the desire to be followed by the thousands.

Well I have always seen you as being emotionally well adjusted compared to most people, so I have some faith in your judgment. I hope everything goes your way a.s.a.p.
