Goddam you Internet. Even when I have just finished my book mere hours ago and I am now under much pressure and strain to finish a major historical fiction book analysis report, you always somehow draw me back. No problem! I tried finding an mp3 of an awesome cover the band did of Bowie's "Five Years" to post that I heard once but I couldn't find it anywhere...

That's my favourite Talking Heads song EVER. I damn near died when the played it at The Danforth show last spring. Makes me smile every time i hear it!

Funny thing, first i'm searching for covers of "Age Of Consent" and I find that Arcade Fire covered it, then i'm looking for rare Talking Heads songs, and I come across the Arcade Fire version. Try and look for the version where Byrne sings it, so fucking awesome.
Immediately I learned the song, and i'm not even that great at guitar. I never really cared for the vocals, but the strings make the cover pretty solid.

And BRICK is so fucking awesome! Every Heads album in 5.1!
And Galen, I have the 3 songs performed with Bowie. They're pretty easy to find if you're familiar with torrents, which i'm sure you are.

Yeah, I think I've heard all the Bowie collabs at least once. I also meant to post "Age Of Consent" and "Maps" but the mp3 links weren't working anymore. And actually, I don't do the torrent thang. I tried once but couldn't really get it to work properly so I gave up... Heh.
