Yesterday I had the worst bout of hiccups ever. The first bout lasted nearly an hour. The next two lasted about half an hour each, and the last didn't go away for nearly two hours. I found out that eating peanut butter really worked best to get rid of them. I think it has to do with the amount of effort it takes to swallow the stuff, diverting

If you can stomach eating a pickle, that usually helps. I think it's the brine or the vinegar or both.

I don't know that I could have stomached a pickle. Maybe. Definitely not the last batch. They were really bad, and I felt like I was going to puke the whole time.
