Holy crap dude, monsanto company IS scary!

I love wikipedia, I've been learning so much stuff lately.

I've also been trying out some really awesome vegan recipes lately. I bought vegonomicon a few weeks ago. So far all I've made from there are black bean burgers but they were pretty awesome. By the next time you come visit we can plan out a menu ahead of time and cook together. :)

I love that idea! I've been baking bread about three times a week lately (I did it once and loved it so much that I do it all the time now) and have been making a lot of soups from scratch which I think is really fun. And last night I made a pineapple upside down cake which I think is my new party/potluck cake to bring places.

The cooler it gets out the more I want to cook/bake, and my love of hot food makes me want to see a lot of rainy weather.

Yeah totally. It sucks baking in the summer because it heats up the apt so much but it's perfect when the weather cools off. I have a book of soup recipes that Rick gave us and I haven't even tried 1 recipe out of it yet. I got a vegetarian cookbook from my mom about a month ago too. I've only made 2 recipes from vegan with a vengeance that I bought a while ago. Not to mention all the recipes printed out from online or on post-its that I have in the kitchen drawer. Seriously I have recipes coming out of my ears over here!

the farmers are the new revolutionaries of the free world! through seed collection & propagation, we will grow enough food, healing herbs & plants to free ourselves of the hazards of consuming foreign toxins & chemicals! yay!

oh, and diane (the lady who owns the farm here) is hell-bent on monsanto - apparently, they are now a seed company as well, buying the largest organic seed company in mexico. word is they're planning to genetically modify the seeds that were once pure. food & health is power!

ps - please, please send me avocados. a whole box of them. enough to make guacamole with.
