Kitty has hyperthyroidism. This may explain why she's so energetic. I hope she doesn't stop playing once she's on the medication. But there are benefits to be had, her health obviously, and maybe she won't throw up anymore or talk so much when the humans are sleeping.

Today I saw a blind guy walk right into a guy in a motorized wheelchair.

At least I assume he was blind, he was wearing sunglasses and using a blind walking cane and didn't seem to be able to see where he was going. The guy in the wheelchair was parked in a hallway and facing the other direction. After the collision the two men started chatting.

I have seen a bunch of No on 8 stickers and signs recently and only two saying yes. I hope this is consistent with the majority of California voters and not just a reflection of the area I live in.

Vote no on 8!

Mother's Cookies bankrupt, cookies no longer made as of Monday

I prefer homemade cookies to store-bought packaged processed ones but the taffy kind are pretty awesome and the circus animal ones are a classic.

Apparently my face turns red when I am embarrassed and/or uncomfortable. Either this just started happening or no one told me before and all of the sudden people decided to start telling me because I swear I hear it all the time lately and it's kind of annoying.
