Like I told Em. . .

My thanksgiving was ok. . . Josie's birthmom decided not to come after we went to visit her Wednesday.  She's just having a rough time dealing with things herself, and then to add chaos to the equation would have been too much.  My mom and dad didn't come because my mom had to work.  My parents live like 6 blocks away, but my dad opted to not come ( Read more... )

mother issues... justsomegurl November 28 2006, 14:07:34 UTC
at least I'm not the only one with mother issues ;) lol I would probably feel the same way. I often feel like I get the shaft from my Mom. I'll try to keep this short, but here is an example.... I found out a few weeks ago our job is being moved to Wisconsin Rapids. I won't commute and leave my kids in daycare for 10 hours so we stand to loose a lot of money on our house (only owned for 1 year). My mom is sitting on 15k to buy my Dad a Harley (his "reward" for serving in Iraq), but she can't loan us 1k to help with the costs of buying/selling/moving. Plus, she never comes to visit, barely calls, and didn't even get off for my son's baptism. Yet, she is complaining about us living in Rapids and how she won't be able to call because it is long distance and she doesn't want to use her cell minutes. She says I'll have to call her.

I am dreading the holidays. . . there will continue to be fall out for me.

good luck with your move. I hope it isn't too much of a financial strain.

see and I am on the other end of the spectrum. If I dont call her every day I get these passive aggressive messages on the answering machine. Just called to see if you were still ALIVE down there.
you can come here for Christmas. oh wait Im not having christmas. I cant shop. but we can eat. When I lived near my mom we went there every christmas and now that we are further away it is kind of nice to just do our own thing and have our OWN traditions. sorry mom is such a pita. I still love ya though. you can hideout here anytime if you run away from home = )
