it's a snow day!  We have so much snow and under it is so much ice!  it's like having an extra pane of glass on the car!  I don't mind having the kids home and hubby went to work so it is doubly good.  yesterday I watched movies and knit and did laundry and dishes and just hunkered down inside our little house of a snow globe

the only way I can really smell summer through all this snow and ice is this: we drove 40 minutes out of town on Saturday and Josie was cold because her boots were wet, so she bundled up in the car quilt which is our beach blanket in the summer. she asked why it smelled like the beach. when I was in high school I used to buy sun tan oil this time of year to just smell like summer.

we love that show! its on right after kim and aggie How clean is your house? which we also love. they inspire me to attempt to keep my house from being snowed under by piles of crap. I am always amazed at the amount of alcohol drunk by the people on you are what you eat.
