This is my own design.  They are shorter, ankle socks.  Feel free to use the pattern for personal use.

I used size 5 needles (US) and woolease yarn.

pattern is a chevron
row 1:  *k1, yo, k4, k2tog, Ld, k4, yo*, k1
row 2:  k across

=Ld= k in front, k next stitch in back and then k those 2 stitches together

cast on  40 stitches (I did 20, 10, 10)

I haven't knit anything since I was eight and I knit a coat for my hamster. He was out of it in a flash, and that concluded my knitting days.

Hummm... I bet this sock pattern could be altered for my Dachshunds....

Sure! just knit the chevron and switch to garter again and don't turn the heel or anything. they would have a pretty lace tube to wear for fancy outings!
