Preston's Burial

Preston's ashes arrived this morning. We're planning his burial for next month as it will be in St Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault, so we'll need a full Saturday. We'll probably take a few plants for the family plot too. September is a good time as it *should* stay wetter and cooler. But given this year's crazy weather....who knows???

I hear you about the crazy weather... I had a record-high electric bill this month to go with an unusually warm series of high temperatures, even for the desert I live in. Still hoping for more rain, but it looks like we're about at the end of our monsoon pattern. Moving back to California and its moderate weather (and the forests, and the beaches) is sooo tempting.... =)

We've been just the opposite here. It never even made it to 90 last month. And the 80's were rather uncommon. Now, me? I love it cool. But when it's so cool that the pools don't open, that's a bummer for the kids. :( So, now we're in the upper 80's and the kids are happier. We're in desperate need of rain here too. It just seems to break up and go around us. Crazy weather year!
