Denny is in grade III rejection. Not terribly unexpected but something we hoped wouldn't happen. He's receiving 660 mg of prednisone by infusion. First one was last night, then tonight and tomorrow night. Then we wait and pray. They'll repeat the biopsies in 2-4 weeks ( Read more... )

They released Denny at a little after 3:00 this afternoon!! Had a bit of undecision as his heart rate was still not exactly stable so they did an EKG and an echo both of which showed no problems. I don't know if anyone even reads this anymore but .. if anyone does ... Friday, in the very wee hours of the morning, Denny received two new lungs! They are working beautifully and he is doing fantastically! :)

Tonight was the first night of the Easter Triduum. Tomorrow we commemorate Jesus' passion and death. It's a very hauntingly beautiful service. Saturday night is Easter Vigil ... one of my favorite Masses of the entire year. And then Sunday morning, ... is Easter Sunday! After that Mass we head over to my sister's for Easter dinner. Things are progressing a bit faster now. Denny needs that transplant sooner rather than later. The fight to breathe is beginning to show in his heart. But, we remain hopeful!

Every once in a while, someone does something incredibly fanastic ...just out of the blue. Something completely unexpected and so beautifully thoughtful that it honestly makes you speechless! Denny and I will find a way to thank her. And God will find a way to bless her!

It's official! I just got the confirmation ... Denny is back on the lung transplant list! :)

Denny will be going back on the list for a lung transplant. He needs a couple updated bloods and a new walk. Plus, we need re-approval from our insurance companies. Not too worried there as they approved before. :)
Spare thoughts, kharma, prayers will be greatly appreciated!
