We have a very good friend named Bruce Christensen. I've known him since high school. Denny, since college. Busy getting ready for New Tradition's annual Veteran's Tribute Mass at St Pius X. Had to scale it back this year as we're not back in the actual Church yet. (Renovations will be done later this month. It's going to be fantastic! Much brighter and more open, all new darn near everything. Plus .. new organ and sound system!!!!!) I spent a good portion of last evening in the ER. I've got a posterior vitreous detachment in my right eye ... to match the one that happened last year in my left eye. It's like walking around with swarms of bugs flying in front of you. Very, very annoying! But my retinas still look good so, I'll live. Preston's ashes arrived this morning. We're planning his burial for next month as it will be in St Lawrence Cemetery in Faribault, so we'll need a full Saturday. We'll probably take a few plants for the family plot too. September is a good time as it *should* stay wetter and cooler. But given this year's crazy weather....who knows???

Denny's brother, Preston, died this morning at a little after 9AM, Utah time. Darla had just arrived there with his cat. Both she and the nurse really feel that he held on long enough to say goodbye.
