I discovered a squirrel in my kitchen today. I assume he got in because I left the balcony door open again. He was on top of the cupboards so I climbed up on the counter to try and trap him but then he launched himself across the room, like he could fly or something. It was really something else

Do you suppose that he was a flying squirrel instead of a normal squirrel? I do believe they can glide.

I don't think so. When he took off there wasn't anything in his frame really suggesting extra skin designed to help him out. He was just a bit of a thrill seeker I guess.
