If I was going to be hung, I'd try to escape, better to be shot. Unless it was like french revolution type days. But they used a guillotine, damn, that'd be quick. Or they could shoot me in the stomach then hang me. I'd gouge the executioner's eyes out, then run for the door, and if they shoot me, I'll attack them until they kill me. Quite the plan

Guillotines aren't quick, your brain is still concious for another 7 or 8 seconds after you've already been decapitated.
