The last time I wrote here, I was fundamentally convinced the consensus betrayed the validity of taking this seriously. But I was 18 then. When am I going to read this? From the pattern so far, I might be 22? That's a fright.

I have to wonder about my parents. Their lack of social standing of any kind. Not that they are incapable of achieving it, but that they have no desire to sustain it. There's nothing quite like the look in someone's eyes when they realize they're being betrayed. It's almost as rewarding as watching the same for when they open a birthday present and find exactly what they wanted, but not quite what they requested. Ganz.
