Why does a Bruce Willis movie provoke serious thought?

What about the sectarian violence in every major city of the USA? You know, gang fights? People die there too.

My opinion, fix yourself first, then others.

In the US, you have the option of protection. You have police, investigators, laws, ect. In places like Africa and Iraq, there are none of those. Just the people in power with the weapons. There is no chance for police protection. There is no laws that make the violence, raping, and killing illegal. They have no voice. And if they attempt to have one, they wind up dead or without a jaw.

And none of that matters in the least when you get hit with a .22 in the head because you were walking down the street when a drive-by hit happened. You're still dead. Just as dead as anyone in Africa or the Middle East or wherever the fuck you want tosay.
