I have eleven hours to complete what is probably the most important paper of my high school career.

May the force be with me.

Edit: I did it, quite handily I might add, with a minimum of panic attacks. And half an hour to spare. Hell, I even already took a shower. The paper is... okay. It's serviceable. I took the very limited instructions I was ( Read more... )

I had to find a way to connect Kavalier and Clay, American Gods, Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance, Hamlet, and The Merchant Of Venice. I settled on the general thesis that all the main characters were insane, but in slightly different ways.

My brother is nuts about those Rockstar drinks. We have about two cases of the stuff in our basement...

So bad for you!

Thanks.

I only drink them when I need to stay awake. They're the cheapest caffeine, I think, barring coffee, which makes me really sick.

But in answer to the "What the hell is wrong with me?" question, "Your diet" springs to mind. Yeesh! Brian says there is talk of inviting your little family over for dinner some day next week; I'm thinking we'll be forcing green leafies down your throat.

And hey! Some by Sea is playing both Friday and Saturday this weekend. -em

I don't normally eat like that; I do enjoy green leafies from time to time. I'd be surprised to still be alive if my day-to-day diet was like that. Our dinners are always fun (as long as there are sharks hiding somewhere, just in case) so that sounds neat and you could have your mix.

I haven't seen Some by Sea for a while now. The last time, they were followed by a tremendously strange and artsy guy who, to his credit, managed to get the the SBS folks (as well as the majority of the assembled crowd, which was quite small) up on the stage and conga-dancing. Anyway, I may make it to one of those shows.
