wow, this fic was all kinds of awesome!! poor oliver, i feel really bad for him! but i love drunk and dark Oliver! and the way you writ him spiralling out-of-control makes me love that side of him even more!
Aw, thanks! Ollie is a mess and I always enjoy writing this side of him because he does everything so intensely including falling apart. I'm really happy you like the way I write him. He's such a complex character so I always appreciate people telling me I'm writing him well. Thanks again!
Thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it. There is one more oneshot that needs to be posted before the sequel. I'd say there's a strong possibility the first chapter will be up next week sometime.
OH LORD, this one hurt. But in the best possible way. :) And I really love it that you're fleshing out the characters we met in Everybody Loves Me down to the details of what happened to them -- especially Ollie -- and how it differed from "our" Chloe and Oliver... but no matter how alternate-universe-y they are, they're still Chloe and Oliver.
Tissa, this ruined my weekend. I'm not even kidding. It hurt so much to write this and not be able to resolve the Chlollie angst. But I'm really glad you enjoyed it even though it hurt. And thank you! I really wanted to shed a little more light on how the characters came to be the way they are in the other world before delving into the "present" in the sequel. Glad you like it. :)
Oh Ollie, if only you let Chloe in, your life would be so much less miserable.
I really love this universe though, because they are both so sad and lonely and adorably dysfunctional, so thank you so much for filling my prompt with this! It's amazing and brilliant even if I want to smack them both upside the head and demand they just realize they are the answer to each others problems.
Although as much as it frustrates me, you really did make both of their perspectives understandable. Oliver has more than enough reason to have trust issues and Chloe is stuck working her ass off for someone who appears to have descended into an uncaring drunken mess. Seriously kudos for how realistic you made them and also how you awesomely incorporated rain into the fic so that it made the scene have an even more powerful impact.
Yay, I'm so glad you liked it! Thanks again for the prompt. :)
They really do need each other but they just can't see it yet. Chloe let him in the tiniest bit in the last story, but Oliver can't do that because he's so afraid to trust anyone. I'm really glad you could see where they were both coming from. That was a big reason I wanted to write this prequel series because I felt like the reader needed more insight into the characters' backgrounds before the sequel.
Loved this from the opening....Lionel Luthor had screwed him over to All he wanted was to be numb.
you can tell that Oliver is really hacked off.............. because he tried and really he has no one he can just blow some steam off with or unburden or cry with, so makes his mood swings more understandable. As for hooking up with Tess, considering he marries her, shes obviously got more in mind than just letting him know what daddy did.
Aw, thank you! I'm really happy you enjoyed this. Ollie really is all alone in this universe. Chloe tries to be there for hm, but as you can see, he just pushes her away too. Yes, Tess has her own agenda and Oliver knows it so he's not fooled by her attempts at being nice; if you can call it that. Thanks again!
