livejournal is laughable. noone knows what anyone's really talking about, and everyone likes it that way so they make up their own stories. we stay "friends" with people we wouldn't even speak to in real life, just so we can nose around and take jabs when given the slightest opportunity. i'm nearly 30 years old. it's really quite embarrassing that

you're exactly right. & I've managed, with the help of a couple others, to make it a place that seems to do more harm than good. So for now anyway, I think it'd be best to just walk away. Maybe that's dramatic but it feels like a good step forward.
