You have already been so kind that I'll strain your patience a bit more and ask you a question related to LJ netiquette: how is 'friending' done? There are already so many people there, whom I've been following since January -actually, the last Exchange is to blame for my present addiction-, but I would not impose by adding them to my flist without their prior consent - I mean, that's NOT something a well behaved grown-up would do in RL, is it? Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Regarding friends the polite thing to do is hop over to their journals and introduce yourself and ask if you might friend them. In my experience you will be welcomed with open arms.

Yes, I feel more than a little worried, if not overwhelmed. Luckily I used to hang around the Usenet, so at least I am aware of the Netiquette basics.
Nonetheless, I'm sure I'll make a lot of embarrassing mistakes: I can only hope not to harm or offend anybody but my pride :))
