Uh, this email is a little creepy.
Hey,
I just found your blog entry:
http://ii-hanashi.livejournal.com/50377.html and I think you may be of
some help to me. I'm contacting you on behalf of M80 & Anchor Bay
Entertainment (Manga) regarding the DVD release of Karas. Have you heard?
Karas (the crow) is best described as Batman with a Samurai Sword or a
Cyber-Punk version of The Crow in 2D/3D animation. Since you mentioned
Karas in your blog entry, I thought that you may be interested in
helping to promote Karas.
Please let me know if you are interested!
Thanks,

I thought about locking more things for a minute, but no. I'm not a fan of 'friends-only' livejournaling. For one, how can you know if you want to friend someone if you can't see their entries? But mostly, I don't feel that strongly about my privacy. If an entry has personal information of the type that could be used to track me down, it's usually locked. It's not that I care about someone appearing on my doorstep so much as the vague idea that if I end up applying for tenure or a job requiring security clearance one day, I won't want the world to know I read porn about animated characters. Unless, of course, they want to write me FFVII vampire porn, in which case I'll send them an invitation and make them dinner and seven-layer chocolate cake. Mmmm, porn and cake. Does it get any better? I really don't think it does.
Mai-Otome ends today, in fact, it's downloading right now. Eleven more minutes, go BT! But I wonder what kind of resolution it can have in 45 minutes. I heard there's going to be a four episode OVA coming out in the fall, so hopefully, episode 25/26 won't be horribly rushed. Hopefully, Nina will get over herself, but I won't hold my breath.
I'll say one things about the Final Fantasy franchise, they know how to make the shiny. The soundtracks are beautiful. DoC looks kind of sketchy, plot-wise, I can tell just from watching the trailer, but god, is it ever pretty. I have this obsessive thing for Cloud adjusting his shades and riding his bike. It's so hot, why is it so hot. Plus, something is knocking on the back of my head and whispering that Chaos!Vincent is really very disturbingly hot. I told it to shut up but it didn't listen. Is there Chaos!Vincent fic anywhere?
The new season starts next week! Looking forward to HOLiC, of course, and School Rumble 2. If you haven't seen the first season, you're missing out on some wonderful hilarity. Soul Link looks interesting; I love space animes. It's by the same group who did SHUFFLE! and the character designs look preeeettty. Does Ouran High School Host Club even need an introduction? There's NANA, which will hopefully be better than ParaKiss. I'm still bitter about the anime ending. I'll admit, I don't know much about Nishi no Yoki Majo Astrea Testament, but it's based on a series of fantasy novels by Ogiwara Noriko. The character designs are gorgeous and there may be romance. I love romances, even though I'm not a very fuzzy person. Normally, novel to anime conversions are very good. I suspect it's much more difficult for novels to be made into an anime. (I wish someone would get on Fujimi Orchestra. Fujimi love!)
There are a few shows I'll try because they sound interesting. Simoun, has a really interesting premise: girls who have to choose their gender when they become 17 years old. They're fighter pilots of some sort, of course, because only teenagers can save anything that needs saving in Japan. Strawberry Panic! is a yuri romance drama set at a boarding school. (Only two out of those four elements are needed to get me to try something ^_^) Makai Senki Disgaea is based on a strategy RPG game about a prince and his journey to become Overlord. Somehow, it reminds me of Invader Zim. Ray the Animation, is a medical drama about a girl who has special “god’s eyes” that give her x-ray vision.
