That's what I expect his role to be, but I'm more interested in getting more information about the source of the rumor.

I didn't see anything obvious on OG. That doesn't mean it isn't there; it may just be in a part of the forum I haven't checked yet. But I really should stop slacking and start coding now. Sigh.

Exactly for your reaction. If they know you're going to react that way and they're looking for a heavy emotional impact, there you go.

Plus, New Who seems determined, at least right now, to not ever kill a companion. So I think on your wish, you'll probably be out of luck.
